About us
Highwood Orchard’s farming operations are overseen by Ahmad who is the youngest son of the Haeri family. A clinical virologist by training, Ahmad still works in the field of pediatric HIV. Having spent the better part of his childhood in the Lowveld, he relocated back to the farm with his family in 2022 and is loving farm life. When not balancing his time between public health work and the macadamias, he enjoys exploring the world of botanical extracts. To this end he has established the ‘Rain & Sun Distillery’ at Highwood Orchard that runs purely on renewable resources, using harvested rainwater and solar power.
